Please read. You might find answers to some questions. If not, feel free to call if you have any further questions. 310-927-1086. How do I set up an appointment? I offer a free (up to 15-minute) phone consultation-to briefly discuss your concerns, to ascertain if I am a good fit for you, and to answer any further questions you might have. If all sounds good, we can schedule you to come in at your earliest convenience. What is the therapy process? The first couple sessions are about getting to know you, gathering pertinent information, and making sure I am the therapist for you. We will collaboratively clarify your goals, then we will get right to work on your goals, usually in the first session! During our time together, I will be providing a safe space for you to process, giving you specific skills to help you reach your goals, and monitoring your progress. How long do I need to come for? Each person is different-some people come for brief therapy (a month or two), others may need more time for deeper issues or to reinforce new habits. Preferably, you can come until you've met your goals, but you are free to discontinue at any time! How often do I need to come in? Sessions are typically once a week, occasionally more if necessary, occasionally less when necessary, depending on your needs and preferences. How long is each session? Sessions are 50 minutes, unless otherwise discussed. How much do you charge? I have a sliding scale, my rates are $100-$200 per session. Do you take insurance? I do not "take" insurance, but many of my clients request a "superbill" (an invoice of sessions paid for), which they submit for reimbursement (typically a percentage or fixed dollar amount per session) from their insurance company. I can provide you with the superbill, but you will need to inquire about your mental health coverage with your insurance, and to pay me for sessions up front. How do I pay for sessions? I accept cash, checks, paypal, venmo, due at the beginning/previous to each session. Where are you located? On the borders of Culver City and Los Angeles, close to Mar Vista, Playa Vista, Venice, and surrounding areas. The address is 11600 Washington Place, Suite 206, Los Angeles, CA, 90066 . Can you do on-line video sessions if I can’t come in? Yes, I can do on-line sessions (you can even do it from your phone!). For individual therapy, I prefer to meet with you at least once or twice in-person before initiating on-line sessions, but I know that can't always happen, so I'm flexible. For family or couple's work, it is best if our sessions are in-person.
